- Indian Navy has launched the 6th barge of the LSAM 16 (Yard 130) series, named 'Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile Barge, LSAM 20 (Yard 130)'
- The barge was built by the private firm Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd in Thane, Maharashtra
- Purpose of these ACTCM (Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile) barges is to help the Indian Navy transport articles and ammunition to ships, both alongside jetties and at outer harbors
- Availability of these barges will provide support for the Indian Navy's operational commitments by enabling efficient loading and unloading of goods and ammunition
- Contract for building 11 ACTCM barges was signed between the Ministry of Defence and Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd in 2021
- The barges are indigenously designed and built under relevant Naval Rules and Regulations, promoting the 'Make in India' initiative
